Asthma

According to the AAFA, asthma impacts roughly 25 million Americans, about 1 in 13 people. Of these numbers, it is more common for children to have asthma than adults and it is the leading chronic disease for children. Asthma is the third ranking cause of hospitalization among children under the age of 15. In fact, asthma is the leading cause of missed school days for children ages 5 to 17, with more than 13.8 millions school days missed.

The approximate annual cost of asthma is more than $81.9 billion, which accounts for medical care and lost work and school days.

The CDC reports that each day, ten people die from asthma. Many of these deaths are avoidable with proper care and treatment.

The AAFA conducted an intensive study called Disparities in Asthma Care, which focused on ethnic differences in asthma and asthma care, which was published with National Pharmaceutical Council. The study reveals that illness and death rate among racial/ethnic groups are closely connected with poverty, city air quality, indoor allergens, not enough patient education and poor health care.

Allergies

The AAFA reports that allergies have an annual cost of about $18 billion.

The most common environmental allergy triggers include: tree, grass and weed pollen, mold spores, dust mites, cockroaches, and cat, dog and rodent dander. There are many other types of allergies that exist however, including food allergies, skin allergies, latex allergies, drug allergies, and insect allergies.

Hay fever, or allergic rhinitis, is a very common allergy that affects about 26 million people.

Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening allergic reaction. The most common allergy related deaths occur from medication allergies.

About 50 million people in the United States have allergies and are the sixth leading chronic illness.

Asthma and Allergy Relief with Venta

Asthma and allergies are no match for Venta humidifiers and air purifiers

Venta prides itself on being the indoor air experts. With over 35 years of industry leading experience, we have developed air quality machines to improve the air our consumers breathe. Asthma and allergy sufferers around the world have found relief in our Airwasher humidifier/purifiers.

By trapping allergens like pollen, dust, and dander in the Airwasher’s reservoir, the unit produces only pure moisturized air. Due to our revolutionary Cold Evaporation technology, over-humidification is impossible, preventing any excess moisture build-up or mold growth.

This is why so many people have turned to Venta, as our units provide necessary year-round humidification while simultaneously purifying the air of impurities. Some have found such relief in removing allergens from the air that they have not noticed a need to refill over-the-counter allergy prescriptions.
